Overview
How does a backyard grower manage to collect 16 first prizes in the Horticultural Competition at the 2025 Maitland Show, for his fruit and vegetables?
Liz and Marcus have invited you to take a guided tour of their very productive garden including the weedy areas, the not so great bits, improvised support structures and so on. Marcus will tell you how he contends with pests, bad weather and soil conditions and still manages to produce beautiful food in a suburban backyard.
This terrific garden also provides the Maitland Seed Library with a lot of its seed stock as part of the Seed Savers program.
Morning tea will be provided.
