Head to the Central Park Cafe right next door for a spot of lunch and to plan out your weekend with the information you’ve been given. The breakfast menu is completely baked and made on the premises for you to enjoy.

Head towards the historic Mercure Monte Pio that dates back to the 1800’s, to check in for the weekend. Relax and dine in their a la carte restaurant for dinner. William Arnott Hotel is filled with lots of character and heritage of Maitland.

Maitland has an array of heritage walks which you can take to learn about city’s long and diverse history. Learn about Maitland’s flood history and heritage buildings with the Central Maitland Heritage Walk and Poverty & Prosperity. East Maitland Heritage Walk  to get interesting insights on the ‘government town’, whilst Maitland Jewish Heritage Walk explores the Jewish influence on its commercial and trading hubs.

Visit Morpeth Museum to view the range of exhibitions that tell the story of the Morpeth including the reailway, housing and the working industries and families. Afterwards explore the riverport township further with Morpeth Heritage Walk.
