Clouds Gathering Sculpture
Overview
Located at the Riverlink Building in Central Maitland, the Clouds Gathering Sculpture was designed and created by Newcastle sculptor Braddon Snape.
This exquisite artwork was inspired by the Levee’s location, next to the Hunter River.  As you pass through you can see metallic clouds perched high on the wall and roof, which symbolises The Levee’s relationship and history with the water.
The art scene has grown organically through the Levee district with the Clouds Gathering Sculpture, to a full-scale wall mural at the Bourke Street Link, poetry readings in cafés, a range of small and large festivals as well as new galleries.
The Riverlink was awarded Best Public Use Project with public funding at the 2018 Blueprint Awards.
